Belden shutters Liberty Tree Mall store

Belden Jewelers at the Liberty Tree Mall in Danvers closed Jan. 9, said David Bouffard, vice president of media relations for Sterling Jewelers Inc. of Akron, Ohio, the parent company of Belden Jewelers.

"Beyond public information such as that, we cannot disclose confidential and proprietary information," Bouffard wrote in an e-mail. He had been asked how many employees worked at the store.
