Amazon eyes site north of Boston for distribution center

Amazon reportedly would like to turn a former manufacturing facility in Massachusetts into a new supply chain hub.

According to the Lawrence Eagle-Tribune, Amazon wants to build a distribution center at the site of a facility in North Andover, Mass. that was previously used to manufacture materials for companies including AT&T, Western Electric, and Lucent. Dallas-based real estate developer Hillwood Development Co. plans to purchase 110 acres of the 168-acre site and build the new center, which it would lease to Amazon. . . . more
