Final marijuana licenses approved, as one commissioner takes a stand

The state’s marijuana oversight authority voted to issue final retail licenses for two marijuana businesses, despite the abstention of one commissioner who sought to draw attention to the commission's refusal to review contracts signed between towns and marijuana businesses.

Cannabis Control Commission voted 4 to 1 on the two licenses, as well as two other final licenses for cultivation and manufacturing. But Commissioner Shaleen Title abstained from all four license votes Thursday, saying that she had seen copies of the agreements on which the businesses were based, and couldn’t in good conscience support them.. . . more
