The U.S. Supreme Court has handed down its eagerly anticipated decision regarding online sales tax collection — and some digital retailers are not going to be happy.
In a 5-to-4 ruling, the court opened the door for states to collect sales taxes on companies that operate entirely online and do not have a physical presence in that state.
