Real-estate development firm Weiner Ventures LLC is significantly scaling back its proposed residential development over the Massachusetts Turnpike in Boston’s Back Bay, scrapping plans to build a 17-story apartment tower and reducing the overall project size by 36 percent.
Last Friday, Weiner Ventures filed updated plans
with the Boston Planning & Development Agency announcing its
intention to reconfigure the project following feedback from both public
and private entities.Weiner’s updated proposal for 1000 Boylston
features a single 108-unit condominium tower rising from a
45,000-square-foot retail podium, for a combined 439,500-square-foot
