Chipotle Plans to Test a Type of Drive-Through Window in Ohio this Fall

Chipotle has pioneered much of the format of the modern restaurant with its cafeteria-style service, simple menu and fresh ingredients. For its next innovation, the company is taking a page out of fast-food playbook — the drive-through window.

Colorado-based Chipotle plans to test a drive-through window, or as it refers to it, “vehicular-pickup window,” at a store in Ohio this fall, according to the company’s recent earnings call with analysts.
