Steve DiFillippo has a reason to be happy these days: His popular, high-end restaurant chain, Davio's, is expanding rapidly with more than $50 million in sales; his frozen-food line is growing; and he's working on a cookbook.
Davio's now has eight locations across the East Coast, with four restaurants in the Boston area and others in New York, Atlanta and Philadelphia. A new location is scheduled to open in Braintree in September and another one in Irvine, California will open later this year, his first on the West Coast (a deal with a developer in Los Angeles fell through in the past year).. . . more
