Comcast Corp. will open an Apple Store-like retail store in Allston, the first of its kind in the city of Boston as the company rolls out its new mobile phone service.
Called the Xfinity Store, the new Comcast-owned store is a brick-and-mortar "example of our commitment to the customer experience," said Comcast spokesman Marc Goodman. The store, at about 4,000 square feet in the former Bee's Knees Supply Company space on Commonwealth Avenue, will employ about 10 people and will open later this year.. . . more
