Sports and Exposition Authority board amends authorization for American Dream bonds

The New Jersey Sports and Exposition Authority’s board on Thursday unanimously approved a series of revisions to an authorization to issue $1.15 billion in bonds to help pay for the remaining construction of the American Dream Meadowlands shopping and entertainment project.

The authority’s votes at its meeting in Lyndhurst reflect changes to a pair of resolutions in response to a formal protest by the New Jersey Alliance for Fiscal Integrity, a non-profit group that was formed on Aug. 25 — the same day that the authority approved two similar resolutions that would allow the bond issuance to go forward.. . . more
