BRA approves Indigo Block, Haymarket hotel

Normandy Real Estate Partners and Harbinger Development have revised the design for their proposed 225-room hotel on Parcel 9 facing the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway near the MBTA Haymarket stop. The new proposal reduces the hotel’s height from 10 stories to between five and six stories, limiting height to 65 feet, and would also include a an attached one-story market pavilion. The project’s architect is Perkins + Will.The Boston Redevelopment Authority at its June board meeting approved five projects, which together represent $250 million in development costs and 461,420 square feet of construction area.
