Why millennials are such tough customers

Millennials may be attached to their phones, but they aren’t distracted customers.

Compared with older generations, millennials — defined as those born between 1982 and 1994 — place more emphasis on value and have a low tolerance for error when it comes to customer service, a survey of 600,000 consumers by J.D. Power found. However, meeting younger buyers’ expectations can be rewarding — millennials are more likely to experience customer satisfaction than baby boomers and will reuse and recommend a product that has reliable customer service, the survey found.. . . more
