A major component of the project will be a “Town Center” commercial district located about a half mile from the MBTA South Weymouth commuter rail station. The town center would include up to 1 million square feet of commercial development; 1,941 luxury apartments, townhomes and condominiums; and 150,000 square feet of “Main Street” retail. The Town Center would also include a 10,000-seat professional sports stadium as well as a hockey rink, a movie theater and grocery store. . . . more
